Living Arrows – 35/52

This photo is just so representative of your personalities.  You, Plumpkin, keen to please, taking your time to work out what I want and to try to deliver.  Sitting still, staring at the camera.  A hint of a smile.

And you, The Little King, halfway out of the frame.  What was it that caught your attention, this time?  A stick, a stone?  A fairy that nobody except you could see?

I love to see who you are becoming.  Your tricky moments are becoming my guilty pleasures.  It is fun to put you in situations that challenge you and see how you respond.  Do you understand?  If so – will you comply?  What will you do?

People ask me all of the time whether you are ‘good babies’.  From what I can tell, they mean ‘do you inconvenience our lives as little as possible?’.  You are exceedingly good babies.  You inconvenience us rarely, delight us often.  It’s fun to watch you develop autonomy, to become tiny little toddlers.

To decide that enough is enough and simply remove yourself from the picture.

It must be so interesting to see their little personalities develop and see how they are different or similar. I love it with my own girls but then there is two years between them, it still astounds me that they can be so similar in some respects and so different in others. x

And that hint of a smile… is gorgeous.

They sound like pretty ‘good’ babies to me.

aww! You know I always love my Me and Mine outtakes for showing more of the children’s personalities and this has something of the same feel about it. Gorgeous boys and a picture to make you giggle!
