  • Parenting Twins: “I don’t know how you do it!”

I don’t know how you do it! is a phrase that we hear often as parents to twins, of a similar frequency to my personal least-favourite Rather you than me!

As the working partner to a brilliant stay-at-home mum I ‘do it’ (twin parenting, you filthy-minded folk!) a lot less than she does these days.  But I thought that this photo series illustrated rather nicely how it’s done.

I have so much admiration for this excellent mother.  She truly is my parenting role-model.

Do you get fed up of hearing those phrases? With my girls, I hear similar. I often think we don’t know any different, we just get on with it. Some days are easier than others and some take more juggling. Your photos sum it up perfectly. Gorgeous x

My three may have come one at a time but I get similar comments – my least favourite is “oh you’ve got your hands full!” and I’m baby wearing proof that a sling is the most magical thing in the whole world when you have more than one child regardless of whether the eldest is minutes or years older. You both make twin parenting look very natural and very easy and you always look so very very happy – but who wouldn’t with those adorable boys!

What beautiful photos. I don’t have twins, I have two small children but I know it’s not the same at all. I imagine it is the same as all parenting in a way though you manage because you have to and because you love your children. I expect you get less sleep with two though x

I get the hands full comment so many times a day with three under 4, I imagine everyone has something to say about twins! I love the photos, I think you just get used to what you have, and you are two amazing mamas x
