Horses were an enormous part of my childhood. Although I didn’t get my own until I turned 21 and could finance it myself, I spent every weekend from a very young age at the stables, both riding the horses and helping to take care of them. It was my first love, an all-consuming obsession. I lived for those weekends, they got me through every difficult moment.
I’m what happens when horse-mad little girls grow up, and I’m sure that you can imagine how terribly keen I am to share this love with my sons.
I bought this adorable horse-themed bodysuit from Mini Rodini more or less in the same week as the test came up positive, and have been waiting for them to grow into it ever since. It’s still a little baggy but not ridiculously so, and I’m planning to get as much wear out of it as I can before we have to put it away in storage for hypothetical baby #3.
Most of my boys’ wardrobe features bold, bright colours but I actually love the neutral palette used in this bodysuit. It definitely suits Balthazar (modelling) more than Lysander, it seems to clash with Lysander’s blue eyes whereas Balthazar’s hazel eyes ‘go’ perfectly. It’s such a sweet outfit, I’m strongly tempted to find this bodysuit again in the next size up!
