Golly gosh – what a difference!
Nobody’s asked us about his eye in ages. It’s been such a relief, the horrified glances were really starting to get us down. We’re not self-conscious when we take the boys out and about any more, which is perfect with the nicer weather – allegedly – on its way.
The treatment is expected to last about a year. He takes an oral dose of the beta blocker syrup twice daily, when he wakes up and then again at bedtime. The norm is a dramatic initial improvement with the final traces of the haemangioma taking the longest to fade, which has been our experience thus far.
It’s lovely to be able to focus on his beautiful blue eyes again.
