It’s the 15th of the month again – time for a Siblings Project update! I’ve been looking forward to this one because my little people are beginning to seem more like siblings now rather than two babies inhabiting the same house.
In fact, never is the twins’ ‘peoplehood’ more apparent than when they are interacting with the other. They are quite independent and able to play together with no interferance from the mummies, thank you very much. Peek-a-boo, mirroring, chasing, rolling a ball back and forth, kissing games… nobody in the world is so entertaining as their twin.
Nor, it would seem, is anyone in the world so infuriating. They bite just hard enough to make the other squeal, pull their twin over, snatch toys and whack each other with them. Balthazar likes to pat Lysander’s face when he’s crying – I think it’s a misplaced ‘there, there’ gesture – which bothers Lysander so much that he holds his breath and faints..! Poor baby.
But as with most things in life, the good well outweighs the bad. As I write this they sit in my hallway, giggling away as they peer out from behind our coats. If they could choose, I feel certain that neither of them would wish their twin away.
This month we took our Siblings Portrait pictures during a pause in the rainfall – and we kept our rain coats on just in case!
This month I’m sending you over to the incredibly talented Annie, whom I will have the pleasure of meeting on Friday at the MAD Blog Awards. Her photography is always stunning and the life that she enjoys with her children in the New Forest makes me long to escape the City. Do pop over and have a read!
And if you have a post to share for the Siblings Project this month, link up below!
Awww these are really cute photos. It must be fun to have a twin to play with although the biting and stuff doesn’t sound too fun.
These photos are absolutely gorgeous! I love the bright colours against the rainy day background and the twins look adorable 🙂 #siblingsproject
Oh those boys! Those colours! Love love love!
Thanks for your kind words and I look forward to meeting you on Friday night – bring it on!
Oh my goodness! These photos are delicious!! Where are the beautiful umbrella leggings from? xx
Oh my goodness!!! These are the cutest. I always love your photography but this whole concept is just so adorable and so very British. I love it. Gorgeous pics Hun xx
Your boys are just so gorgeous and the colours in those photos are wonderful. I love how you can tell the twins apart so easily – they’re clearly twins but they have their own identities too x
Oh they crack me up – they’re just too adorable for words and I love that they’re starting to be properly brotherly although I’m not sure Lysander would agree – poor wee boy!
Oh my word I cannot handle the cute!!!!! xx
They look so so cute playing with the colourful umbrella and in their little raincoats. Hope the biting calms down, it definitely is a phase. Not sure how long it lasts though 🙂
OMG, these pictures are so beautiful, the colours and the composition, and the most beautiful things in them are your twins. They are absolutely adorable! Your post made me giggle about how they are developing their bond as two siblings, but can also wind each other up so much. I guess that’s a sibling relationship in a nutshell – similar in our house, though our age gap is bigger. I look forward to reading how they become even more aware of each other over time! x
That brought a huge ‘Ray of Sunshine’ to the miserable grey day. What colourful and uplifting pictures of beautiful boys.
Utterly gorgeous as always- I love their little outfits and the umbrella too. I know they have always looked different, but they really are starting to change too. You must be so very proud of them, they make me broody! xx
My goodness how much they have grown since I met them earlier this year! They are too gorgeous for words. Your photos are just stunning as always x
Oh Amber these photos are so gorgeous!!! Was great seeing you last night, you are so lovely xx #Siblings

O.k these are officially too cute! They really do look like the best of friends x
